For a Durable and Non-Surgical Restoration, Consider Dental Bridges

Dental BridgesIf you are looking for a quality tooth replacement that doesn't require surgery or a long recovery time, consider our dental bridges. Our dental bridges provide a durable replacement option for one or more missing teeth without hours of chair time or months of waiting before your final replacement is in place.

Dental Bridges

Dental bridges are composed of two or more crowns that cover the teeth on either side of the gap created by your missing tooth. The teeth that will be crowned are called abutment teeth and act as anchors for the fabricated tooth we sit between them in the gap. The fabricated tooth to fill the gap will be made of alloys, porcelain, or a variety of other materials that will be discussed when you visit for your dental bridge. Since dental bridges are supported by strong, healthy, and natural teeth, they are considered a fixed replacement option that should last for years.

Advantages of Dental Bridges

Dental bridges restore your smile to its original radiance. Bridges improve your appearance, enabling you to smile, speak, and eat with ease. Dental bridges also help maintain the current structure of your face. When you are missing teeth, your remaining teeth will eventually drift into a new placement, and the bones that support your facial structure can become malformed or weakened. Missing teeth make you look older than you are and produce a sagging appearance. Our dental bridges help retain your appearance and keep your dental structure healthier overall.

Dental bridges can also help redistribute chewing and resting bite forces, so too much pressure is not put on the teeth near your missing tooth. Too much pressure will eventually weaken nearby teeth. Our dental bridges are also incredibly durable. Dental bridges generally last five to 15 years, averaging about 10 years of life. The better oral hygiene you possess while also keeping up with dental checkups will lengthen the lifespan of your dental bridges for years longer.

Cost of Dental Bridges

The cost of your dental bridge will vary depending on the type of material you want to be used for your fabricated tooth and how many teeth you need to have replaced. Most dental insurance companies will help pay for the cost. Dental bridges are less expensive than dental implants and provide a competitive lifespan and durability.

Dental Bridges Procedure

One of the main advantages of our dental bridges is the non-surgical procedure. Unlike dental implants, no invasive surgery or long wait will be required to attain the tooth replacement you need. In most cases, dental bridge placement will take two visits to our office. During the first visit, we will evaluate your mouth and take impressions that will be used to create your fabricated tooth replacement. We will also prepare the abutment teeth for the crowns to be placed over them. You will wear a temporary bridge until your permanent one is ready.

Once your dental bridge is created, you will visit our office again to have it cemented into place. We may adjust the bridge to the proper fit during this time, as well. After the dental bridge is in place, you will immediately have a working replacement tooth.

Our dental bridges are a great option to consider when you need a quality tooth replacement. Our bridges last years and provide you with the functional dental structure you need and the attractive smile you want.
